Algeria Advances Water Security Through Five Desalination Agreements

Algeria's national water companies, ADE and ADC, signed water purchase and sale agreements covering five major seawater desalination plants in El Tarf, Béjaïa, Boumerdès, Tipasa and Oran. The agreements were reported on 31 October 2026 and represent progress in coordinating desalinated-water production and distribution. A verified financial value or water purchase tariff was not disclosed.
